Convenience Center please view and/or print the 2020 Recycling Brochure. Please use closed bags and containers when transporting trash to the convenience center. If you have an open bed truck or trailer, a tarp is required. Tarps are available for FREE at the Convenience Center. RECYCLING IS MANDATORY! Recyclables must be separated from normal household trash and placed in the appropriate bins at the Convenience Center. Our goal is to recycle 65% of all waste. Convenience Center employees may randomly slice trash bags to ensure compliance of all households. Businesses are required to recycle and must turn in copies of recycling weight slips to the township quarterly. Click here for more information about recycling in New Jersey Residents: Access to the Convenience Center is permitted only to residents of Upper Pittsgrove Township for disposal of normal household trash and recyclables. A green Convenience Center Decal must be placed on the rear view mirror or front bumper of all vehicles using the site. Decals are available at the Municipal Building for $1.00. Please bring a copy of the vehicle registration. Commercial Businesses, Schools, & Institutions: The Convenience Center will accept clean and dry recyclables from township businesses, however regular trash is not accepted. Township businesses are required to submit the annual recycling tonnage report to the Recycling Coordinator to report tonnage of all materials not recycled at the Convenience Center. Salem County Solid Waste Facility - The Salem County Improvement Authority (SCIA) Solid Waste Division is an alternative site for residents to dispose of materials. The are located outside of Alloway off of Route 540 on McKillip Rd. Hours for county residents are 8:00 am - 4:00 pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
