New Jersey statute identifies the Municipal Clerk as the Secretary of the Governing Body, the Secretary of the Municipal Corporation, the Administrative and Licensing Officer, and the Election
Administrator. The Clerk acts as a liaison to the public and correspondent on behalf of the Township Committee. The Clerk's office is responsible for maintaining all Resolutions and Ordinances. The Clerk handles requests for information, dog licenses, and as the Registrar for the Township administers vital records including marriage, birth and death certificates and marriage license applications.
